Where do I find the shapes tool? INSERT...Shapes...Rounded rectangle
How do I turn my shape into a xylophone? Add your first rounded rectangle on the far right of your screen. Copy it, paste it and line it up next to the first shape (side by side). Click right arrow key (on keyboard) 8 times. Hold down the shift key. Click the down arrow key ONCE. This will resize your key. Copy THAT round rectangle and repeat until all 8 rounded rectangles are lined up. How do I turn my drawing into a grouped picture. CTRL-A...CTRL-G...Right click save as picture. (You can then use this image in any project. What picture format should I save it as? It defaults to a .png format (that has a transparent background)...this one works great for Pivot projects. Other formats could be .jpg (same picture image you use to take a photo) or .gif which is basically a drawing image option (also works for Pivot). What do I turn in? Turn in the grouped xylophone picture AND the xylophone PowerPoint. How do I add my audio? INSERT...Audio...Audio from my PC. Find your note...doubleclick it. Move the speaker to the correct tone pad (rounded rectangle). I'm supposed to name my tone pad (rounded rectangle) by its letter? How do I do that? Step 1: Click the first shape. Click Drawing tools...Selection Pane. You will see your rounded rectangle highlighted in peach. Double click it and click and drag to highlight. Type C, etc. until each tone pad (rounded rectangle) are named. If you don't label those shapes, it will be really hard to connect it to your target. NOTE: The trigger is designed so the sound you create will play when you click a certain item. In this case, that would be your tone pad. You DO NOT want to make it play when you click your speaker. How do i create my trigger? 1: First you have to be able to see it. Go to Animation...Animation Pane. Click your first sound (C). You will see it highlighted title underneath Target C. 2. Right click on that title...Click Timing...Start effect on click of...Scroll through until you see the C (make sure you named your rounded rectangle tone pad differently than your recorded sounds or it will be REALLY hard to figure out which is which.) 3: Click the correct letter C. Click OK. 4: Test it. F5 If you point to the letter C and see a browser hand, you know you are in the right direction. 5: Click it. If it plays your note. You are golden. Repeat until all notes are set. I don't get what the trigger does? The trigger is designed so the sound you create will play when you click a certain item. In this case, that would be your tone pad. You DO NOT want to make it play when you click your speaker. My speaker shows up when I open the slide show...what do I do? Click on the speaker...Click Audio Tools...Click Playback. Check the boxes that say "Hide During Show" "Rewind after Playing". (NOTE: If rewind after playing doesn't seem to work well, you may uncheck it. Just test to see which way you think works best. |
